As part of its ongoing mobilization of international partners and in the run-up to the High-Level Round Table on financing the National Development Plan (NDP) “Chad-Connection 2030,” the Embassy of the Republic of Chad in India has intensified its outreach to Indian economic stakeholders to promote funding and partnerships for strategic projects.
In collaboration with the Indo-African Trade and Economic Council, Her Excellency Madam Ildjima Badda Mallot, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Chad to India, hosted a high-level meeting in New Delhi on August 6, 2025. The session focused on priority NDP projects and opportunities for Indian investment.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Mallot underscored Chad’s immense economic potential, ongoing improvements to the business climate, and the strong political will of His Excellency Marshal Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, President of the Republic and Head of State, to drive structural and sustainable transformation across key economic sectors.
A notable moment came when the Public Policy Officer of Bharti Airtel Group shared the company’s successful experience operating in Chad for over 15 years. He praised the country’s favorable investment environment and urged Indian investors to explore Chad’s vast opportunities across growth sectors.

The meeting concluded with the signing of several Letters of Intent covering health, agriculture, agro-food processing, education, energy, and infrastructure—signaling growing Indian interest in supporting Chad’s Vision 2030.
All participants were invited to join the High-Level Round Table in Abu Dhabi on September 9–10, 2025, where the commitments made in New Delhi are expected to be consolidated and expanded, further strengthening cooperation around Chad’s national development priorities.
