A Consortium of investors under the Indian Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently held a meeting with Acting High Commissioner H.E Deliwe Mumbi to explore investment opportunities in Zambia.
The delegation, led by Indian Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industry Founder/Director Mohammed Dawood Khani, expressed interest in investing in Zambia because of its conducive business environment.
Addressing the group, Mumbi said Zambia is open for investment in areas such as manufacturing, tourism, agro processing, agriculture, mining, and energy, among others and that because of the peace the country has continued to enjoy since independence, Zambia has become a destination of choice for Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs).
She said Zambia’s land-liked status means that any business established has a readily-available market within and among its eight neighbours, guaranteeing a return on investment.
