Ambassador of Ethiopia to India, Demeke Atnafu addressed the Inaugural Convention for Medical Tourism in India, being invited as a panelist at the Panel Discussion on India-Africa Healthcare Cooperation Program, on 10th May 2024, in Greater Noida.
Highlighting the long-standing historic ties and many commonalities Africa shares with India, he underlined that India plays a key role in Africa’s healthcare development not only by supplying bulk of drugs but also setting up pharmaceutical manufacturing units as well as providing Telemedicine Services, training and capacity building program in the health sector.
As India is a second home for medical tourism to Ethiopians and Africans, Ambassador invited healthcare industry stakeholders to invest in Ethiopia health sector by setting up pharmaceutical units, and tertiary-level hospitals.
