The Embassy of the federal democratic republic of Ethiopia participated in two forums organized by CII Gujarat and South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Surat City Gujarat.
The Embassys delegation led by H. E. Ambassador Bizunesh Meseret, Deputy Head of Mission, attended the 83 Installation Ceremony of the newly elected President and Vice President of the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry on July 02, 2023 and participated in the International Trade Opportunities Session organized by the Chamber in the presence of more than 100 companies.
On the session, H.E. Ambassador Bizunesh elaborated the strong and historic Ethio-Indian relations and described the immense opportunities that are awaiting foreign investors in Ethiopia in many sectors and encouraged the participants to look in to these opportunities explore the possibilities.
On the session a power point presentation on the Ethiopian Manufacturing sector was presented and one to one discussions with interested companies were held and further information was shared with these companies.
The embassy delegation also participated in a B20 Meet at Surat Marriott Hotel on the agenda of Opportunities for Trade and Investment in Diamond, Textile and Chemical Industries organized by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). After the function, Her Excellency Ambassador Bizunesh Meseret held fruitful discussion with the members of the business community of Surat which has shown interest in Ethiopia.
The delegation participated in a visit program organized by CII to SRK Diamond Factory and Surat Diamond Bourse.
